Today spent morning at the Business School. A session on how to create a podcast using the flashback screen capture software to the Internationl students. These sessions taken in BS labs have given a good platform for LRT future plans in implementing this software. I now have enough materials and workshop type training experience to hold a emergency quick session on process of podcasting. We have managed to trial the software, use it with students, incorporate various technologies and further more trial it with students in use of podcast as a form of assessment. Watch this space for more on how this research is progressing.
Ps this blog has been writen on my iPhone using the wordpress app.

9th February, spent a day at the Business School, delivering tutorial sessions on the process of podcasting to final year International Retailing Students. There were approximately 30 students in each session. To find out more about the student learning aspect , visit the blog post here.
The content of the session consisted of:
Production, Publication and Delivery Methods
Files and formats
The tools needed to podcast
Microphone, storage device, Screen Capture Software (BB Flashback)
Use of Skydrive
Creating and sharing folders, uploading files, sending a link with a message attached.
The impression I got from the audience was of enthusiastic and looking forward to creating a podcast. Many questions were asked along the line of use of personal equipment instead of University’s resources, the software, and post production capabilities of the software.
The hand on demonstration on creating a podcast was another plus point, which was appreciated by the students.
