Android for Acadmeics – Add your student to a list in a Google Spreadsheet, and this app takes care of the rest. There is no need to enter total absences into a spreadsheet at the end of the semester because all absences/tardies are calculated in your google spreadsheet each day you take attendance
Attendance – Attendance is a universal iPhone/iPad application allowing you to take and keep attendance records. Intended use for teachers to keep track of records for their classes, but it can also be used for meetings and group gatherings.
Chris Mitchell was interested in using Flashback as a means of providing student feedback.
I will look into using the software to develop my assessment feedback over the next few weeks and test its use in WebCT and via email. The sky drive may also be useful for me to trial but may need more time to see this working. In principal I think it could work well with my formative assessment feedback.
I also think the flashback software may be useful for developing tutorials with some of the computer programmes we use. This may support the tutorials we have on the use of kitman (kitchen management software) and EPOS.
